We Are Family
Sunday, February 16 | 2-4pm
It’s Family Day weekend, and we’ve got a lot in store for you for this Family Sunday!
We’re celebrating Black history month with our special guest, local emerging artist Aya Behr, who will be leading an exciting multi-media collage project in response to our exhibition, A View from Here. As well, let’s go BIG by making huge paint prints, and embark on a scavenger hunt to find related art pieces throughout the gallery. Your finished scavenger hunt page will go into a draw box for an art lover’s prize.
About Aya Behr (They/Them)
Ava Behr is a Black and Jewish high school student passionate about fostering community building through art. Born and raised on the territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples, Aya is influenced by their parents, who come both from diasporic communities. Their heritage fuels Aya’s dedication to using art to bring people together and create inclusive spaces.
