DescriptionA bronze ferrule or decorative parasol or umbrella ends depicting an avian-like animal with its tail towards the tapered end and another animal (serpent-like head with scales?) on the opposite side (in reverse, top to bottom) with its head (acting as the hook) facing downwards and its back end towards the wider, open end. zoomorphic (?) animal head facing downwards with a detailed pattern on its surface. The hook extends out from the top of the animal's head and the tapering bottom apears to be extending from the animal's mouth. A uniform perforation is on one side (to attach?). The tapered end is broken off and green corrosion and accretion cover much of the surface.
