DescriptionThe long scabbard & handle are dense carved bone, depicting Japanese warriors, scholars women & farmers with appropriate background settings. Incised decorations are toned with dark colour. Reinforcing bronze bands, with triple-pawlonia mon or crests, are superimposed at the extremities & at regular intervals along the length.
