DescriptionPleated skirt is of purple figured gauze, embroidered with silk floss in shades of blue with matching embroidered black satin borders. It has wide front and back panels, with twelve pleats at the sides. The embroidery consists of dense flowers and butterflies with the motif mimicked in the three recessions of borders. Each section of embroidery has a narrow light blue silk edging. The top of the skirt has a cotton waist band with a loop on each end to fasten it. The garment is not lined.
